M.I.A.

So much has happened over the last couple of months! I finished my Advertising career at TFG and also my student teaching for LRCE. I start teaching 6th grade Math at Galvez Middle in August. I can't wait to meet my students and to write Ms. Mora on the board!

I am so excited and relieved to start moving at a slower pace. Although, I have to admit I'm sitting here in quiet thinking what in the hell am I going to do today besides clean? I've really been advoiding it for a couple of days now. I even went so far as to reorganize the filing cabinet. I'm running out of things to organize and color code.

Now, on to the real reason you guys read this blog...the girls. I know that you've been missing some pictures and stories and boy do I have some good ones. Most notably, this morning Gabrielle dressed herself in a halter shirt and shorts. That's really not that uncommon, she's now pretty self-sufficient. She changes her own pull-up, dresses herself and screams, "I dood it!" whenever possible. So back to the halter...she walks in at the sitter's and says, "Manda, look at my boobies." Amanda quickly looked at me and said, "Did she say what I think..." Yep. She told you to look at her boobies. I tried to explain to her that we do not discuss nor bring attention to those when not at home, that didn't sound right. Then, I said that we only discuss body parts at home and that didn't seem to help. I just looked at the sitter and said, "What'cha gonna do?" Somehow, I don't think I helped the situation or ended it.

Kenzie is a full-time walker now. I'm very proud of her. For a while I thought she was going to be my mini me in every way possible including being extremely lazy. She is also repeating words but they are not very clear. She sings alot too which I find adorable. Last night Mami' decided to give her an ice cream cone and let her have at it. This is the result:

What is it about grandparents and messy stuff? Then, she tried to hand her off to me with a "here mommy." Oh nooooo, Mami' had to give her a bath! She did have a great time and when ever I pulled out the camera to take a picture she would lean in and giggle. She's so funny. She has learned to get attention in a "fight smarter, not harder" kind of way. She just makes you laugh constantly. She's the one in the room you flock to because she's so much fun.

Gabrielle has always been in love with her sister but with her new independence it has become a love that just keeps on giving. Mackenzie can't seem to get away! Gabrielle wants to wipe her face, give her hugs that resemble head locks and snuggle "tight, tight" when watching t.v. Sometimes Mackenzie is up for it and other times she just wants to be left alone. That's when the baby fist fights ensue. If you've never seen one, imagine two puppys swatting and rolling all around. Someone usually does the swatting or pushing (Mackenzie) and the other just rolls with it (Gabrielle). Mackenzie typically emerges laughing while Gabrielle is crying because Kenz hurt her feelings.

I think that is all for now, I have to start cleaning sometime today! I will post a bunch of pics from Kenzie's party and some random ones since then. Hope all is well with you all! Love and Light!
