28 weeks!

This Thursday I will officially be 28 weeks. The countdown has already begun but I am in the single digits now. Only 9 weeks left. I saw my ob today and from now on I will be going every two weeks. Mackenzie Kate is measuring bigger than normal but with my blood clotting issues, bigger is better. I would normally have a chance of having a low birthweight baby but due to my gestational diabetes that has in fact returned this pregnacy, Mackenzie is just fine and plump. She is kicking a whole lot, especially when I have Gabrielle in my arms.

Speaking of Bebe', she was super sick last week! :( We think she had hand, foot and mouth disease. She was miserable. We first thought it was teething so we kept her home on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday night is when we found the rash on her feet. She fared pretty well considering the images that turned up when I googled the sickness. She had a milder case than usual, thank goodness!

Here she is at home with Daddy on Monday. He asked her, "Who took out all those toys?!" This was her response:
Aunt Stacy took care of her last Tuesday. I know it doesn't look like she is sick but I assure you she was...
I think she just likes visiting with the Heltz's.

And all the extra attention is great too!!
She finally started feeling better and drinking fluids this weekend. And with the 80 degree weather here we decided to plant our herb garden out back and spend the day outdoors. We have found that lately all she wants to do is go outside. If we take Layla out, she has to go out and she cries when we go back in. I'm sure we'll be spending our entire summer outside, which is fine by us. We just hope Mackenzie doesn't mind too much!
Bebe' has also added to her vocabulary. She now says, Dada, Mama, no no no (with the head shake), bye bye, Layla which she pronounces "Yeaya!" and has to yell it EVERY single time, and ta ta. Ta ta has become my favorite because I know that she is mimicking me telling her to give me something. I take something away from her after saying ta ta and she takes it right back with a smile and a firmly toned ta ta. It's a battle I find amusing now but I know I'm setting myself up.

Finally, I wanted to share with you all Gabrielle's DNA test. We all were DNA tested for the Chitimacha Indian Tribe (I get Blake and Gabrielle's test but not so much mine?) and of course just like any life event, I had to take pictures. She thought it was all lots of fun and they had a huge fish tank so she immediatley liked the whole appointment.

Here she is in the beginning...not very sure of the situation and clingy to Dada:
And here come the fish...everything in the world is right again!

Here is the actual swab. The woman treated it like a game and she loved it.

The funniest thing about it was the sign outside of the building. It was a light up sign with the moving arrows pointing to the building with the words, "Who's the Father?" written on it. Blake and I were so embarrased but at the same time couldn't stop giggling.

It's a busy month!!! My godchild Henry V turned one and had his party last weekend. Happy Birthday Henry! His girlfriend Gabrielle couldn't make an appearance because she was still iffy on the sickness and she was very upset!

Keep checking back! We are doing the 4d ultrasound Saturday March 21st so we'll have pictures of Mackenzie soon!
