Mackenzie Kate

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Life has been busy! Mackenzie has acid reflux and a milk allergy just like her sister did. The specialist told us that 1% of all newborns have a milk allergy. He wanted to know how we were blessed with two. I laughed and told him we are used to being in the 1% between fertility and babies. I wish we had those odds when it comes to the lottery.

We have her on medicine twice a day and special formula. We are hoping it starts to kick in soon. She slept for 5 hours at a time the last two nights so maybe our luck is starting to change.

Mackenzie is smiling like crazy. It's so amazing how she recongizes our voices and makes noises when we talk to her. She's such a happy baby considering all the pain she has to be in from the reflux.

Gabrielle loves her new baby sister. So much in fact that she tries to pick her up! She kisses and hugs her daily. The only time she is unsure is when Mackenzie cries. She gets really nervous and points to her and babbles...like to say, "She's crying, make her stop!". And of course she is having some issues when we are holding the baby. She wants whoever is holding Mackenzie to hold her too. We've learned to rock both of them at the same time at night.

We have baptism pictures too from this past weekend but Gabrielle just woke up early from her nap so I'll try to post those later on. Hope everyone is well!!
