This is a profile of her puckering out those pretty little lips.
This is her foot, it looks pretty big.
This is her hair. The ultrasound tech said that it was long but that she had a lot of it and it is thick!
Here is a straight on picture of her looking back at us. The two dark space are her eyes. It looks like she has my nose (and Gabrielle's) and lips.
Here she is again showing off her lips.Even though she is currently doing good, the doctors feel it is necessary to keep her incubated for another week. Lots of blah, blah about hospital policy but we feel like why chance her maybe having to go to the NICU . We 100% trust Dr. C and respect his opinion. If he wants me to cook her for a little while longer I'm okay with that. We can put the six packs on ice for a week. He has rescheduled me for May 22nd at 12:30pm.
This change in plans has given us an extra week, new birthday and new horror-scope!! Mackenzie Kate will now be a Gemini:
May 21 - June 21 Planet - Mercury Element - Air
Eager to get going (this baby probably kicked up a storm in the womb!), the Gemini baby is likely to be talking early and making a mark from day one. Curious and quite the explorer, this tot is one who needs lots of stimuli in order to be happy, as they are easily bored. Since those communication skills are top-notch, the smart thing to do with this baby is bring them into a play group as soon as possible. At home, siblings could easily fill this function, as someone must! It's never too early for the Gemini baby to interact with others, and they will also learn their lessons early on. The Gemini tot is definitely not clingy. Quite the contrary, this is one baby who is happy to march to their own drummer, gallivanting about and being amused in the process. Surprisingly, when this baby is not engaged (chatting or playing with others), there could be a certain emotional detachment. For that reason, it's best to keep things uncomplicated and easy for them to understand, the better to maintain harmony. To sum up, the Gemini baby is the Great Communicator of the play group, has a short attention span (so keep 'em busy!), and is one clever and creative tot.
This sounds more like Gabrielle's sister, doesn't it? I mean how perfect...Mackenzie will come to depend on Gabrielle for stimulation and companionship and Gabrielle will come to depend on Mackenzie as her own personal audience 24/7. That's a match made in heaven.
We now have 4 weeks left to go and thank God because we have nothing done!! We still have to paint and get out the baby gear and wash the clothes and just prepare for our Bebe' Petite. I did receive one gift that gets me closer to being ready:
My rep in Mississippi sent this gown for Mackenzie that matches the one she gave Gabrielle a year ago. I will use it to take her hospital pictures. Thank you so much Amy!!!Lastly, I want to share this picture with you all. Gabrielle is thoroughly enjoying all of her presents. Here you will see her multitasking skills in full effect. She is pretending to eat like a big girl while sitting on the potty and looking at me like I'm the crazy one. Hilarious that one, she keeps us in stitches.
