34 weeks

We are in our 34th week!! Not much longer to go and yes, we are ready. Those of you who saw those huge things I call my feet this weekend know how ready I am. We thought it was the salt from all the crawfish boils but they have yet to return to normal and I have a feeling they won't along with my fingers!! Blake and I saw our regular doctor yesterday and he said that for the next three weeks he is going to do a biophysical profile of Gabrielle (each week) to monitor her lung development so that we can be sure she is ready to come out on April 18th. He also gave us a time to be at the hospital that day...4am!! That time actually works for me b/c I start to get hungry around 7:30 and starving at 7:45 so Blake will have a couple of normal hours before the insanity begins. I have already apologized in advance. I just know Baby Gabrielle is going to be in no hurry to make her entrance. She'll probably be fashionably late and take after her mom and dad!!
Some of our maternity pictures are up on the photographer's site. Her website is http://www.kimberlymengphotography.com/. When you get there click on website and click on clients. The password is mora306. She took about 3 times as many pictures but they are not all up. She will also take Gabrielle's newborn pictures on April 24th.
We had our 2nd and final attempt for the 4d ultrasound on Saturday. The first attempt didn't work out too well because all the little stinker wants to do is suck on her hands and feet. Well guess what? Little has changed!!! The ultrasound tech said to look for hickeys on her hands and feet when she comes out because of how much she has them in her mouth. She is head down in my right pelvis and aparently has made a little home for herself. She will not move...at all. Not even a little bit. Here are some pictures we got of her:

See, hands in mouth! Here she moves the hand a little to show us her beautiful lips!
Last time we were kind of worried about her nose but the tech assured us that her nose is perfect and that she is so close to the wall of my uterus that it kind of smooshes her face in.
Finally, this is the funniest one. The tech said that her hair is so long that it is actually "flowing" in the fluid around her. She said to be sure to bring her a comb and bow to the hospital.

The hair is the white streaks. That is the second tech that commented on how long her hair is. She'll probably have to have an early haircut! The next few weeks should bring plenty of pictures so I'll be sure to update as much as possible!!

Here is a pic of me and my friends Leslie (on left) and Amy (center) at Amy's shower. We are all due within a couple of weeks from each other!
